The boardwalk beach
Your stretch of sand. Wide, quiet, and usually empty before nine.
The art of slowing down
A three-bedroom cottage on the quiet end of the peninsula. Porch coffee, bare feet, and a boardwalk that ends in the Gulf.
Come as you are
That first breath of salt air. Coffee on the porch. A whole afternoon with nowhere to be. The Dune House is a place for the kind of days you wish would last a little longer.

The little things, considered
Natural textures. Soft light. Windows open to the breeze. Everything you need is here, and nothing you don't.
Sample numbers. Taxes and a $175 cleaning fee apply to every stay.

The area
No itinerary required. Just a few good possibilities, a short drive or a barefoot walk away.
Your stretch of sand. Wide, quiet, and usually empty before nine.
A 19th-century fort with ramparts to climb and a ferry that crosses the bay.
Dockside dinner, boat traffic, and the kind of sunset that gets applause.
Saturday mornings. Peaches in summer, satsumas in winter, bread year-round.
Small, shady, and walkable in an hour. The sloth is the main event.
Trails through dunes and maritime forest, ending at a beach with nobody on it.
Puzzles, cards, a record player, and a shelf of paperbacks left by past guests.
Rent a rod, watch the pelicans work, and walk out over the water at golden hour.
Fried shrimp, cold drinks, and sand still on your feet. Nobody minds.
Nothing matches that combination. Try fewer filters.
Guest notes
Left in the guestbook on the kitchen counter.
We planned to go out every night and ended up on the porch every night instead. No regrets.
The walk to the beach is exactly as short as they say. The kids counted.
Quiet, clean, and the kitchen actually has sharp knives. We'll be back in the off-season.
Sample reviews written for this concept. Not from real guests.

Yes. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome for a flat $75 fee per stay. There's an outdoor shower for sandy paws and a fenced side yard.
Two nights most of the year, and three nights in June and July. Holiday weeks are usually booked a season ahead.
About 140 steps down the boardwalk from the porch to the sand. Beach chairs, an umbrella, and a wagon live in the storage closet by the outdoor shower.
Full refund up to 30 days before arrival; 50% up to 14 days. Named-storm evacuation orders get a full refund, no questions asked.
Getting here
Fort Morgan Road runs west until the road, and the hurry, run out. We're near the end of it. About 1 hour 15 minutes from Pensacola airport, 1 hour 45 from Mobile.
